New Modern Awards
The modern awards become operational on 1 January 2010. While there are some transitional issues that will be deferred until 1 July 2010, most provisions of the award will apply on 1 January 2010.
The modern awards will replace all existing federal awards and NAPSAs and will apply to all businesses in the Federal industrial relations system. For a preview of the relevant awards, please click on the links below.

MODERN AWARDS TRAINING
Master Builders are running a Modern Awards training course. This one day training course will take employers through the provisions of the new awards, including learning exercises on award interpretation.
Copies of the Building and Construction and Clerks awards and National Employment Standards will be provided at the course. All award conditions are summarised and included in the course notes.
This course suits payroll and HR personnel, supervisors and managers.
